Who we are
Trysail currently has four members, working across quantum information and gravity, cosmology, biophysics, string theory, and algebraic quantum field theory. Their backgrounds and current research interests are below.
Parsa Kafashi
Quantum Information & Quantum GravityParsa works at the intersection of quantum information and quantum gravity, using tools from holography and computational complexity to ask what spacetime is built out of. He is interested in how entanglement structure, quantum error correction, and the growth of complexity constrain — and perhaps construct — the geometry of the holographic bulk.
Artin Khanali
Cosmology & Mathematical PhysicsArtin investigates the mathematical foundations of gravitation and cosmology, employing rigorous methods from differential geometry, topology, and mathematical physics. His research focuses on the geometric formulation of spacetime, cosmological models beyond idealised symmetries, and the interplay between topology and the fundamental laws governing the universe.
Mozhgan Orujlu
Biophysics & Complex SystemsMozhgan works on biophysics and the statistical mechanics of living systems, with a focus on stochastic and complex-systems approaches to cellular decision-making. Her research spans cell-fate transitions and the folding pathways of proteins — the physics that governs how a cell commits to a path.
Meyssam Hassandoust
Quantum Gravity, String Theory & Algebraic Quantum Field TheoryMeyssam works on quantum gravity, string theory, and algebraic quantum field theory, with an emphasis on the mathematical structures underlying fundamental interactions and spacetime.
